An evening with Marina Richie, author of Halcyon Journey

Spokane Audubon Society is co-sponsoring an event at the New Moon Art Gallery (1326 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99202) featuring  Marina Richie.  Ms. Richie will be sharing stories from her book Halcyon Journey: In Search of the Belted Kingfisher.  The reading will be held on Sept. 20th with a reception starting at 6:00pm with light refreshments and wine followed by the reading at 7:00pm. The author will be happy to sign your book.

Halcyon Journey is a book about the Belted Kingfisher. It relates tribal stories of this remarkable bird as well as the author’s connection to it.  Marina Richie is a naturalist who does interpretive signs for state parks, wildlife refuges, etc. She grew up in Oregon, lived in Missoula, MT and now lives in Bend, OR. She has also written books on birds and bugs of Montana.
