Birding in Southern Patagonia

Mason Maron is a birder and undergraduate student at Washington State University majoring in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation Sciences and minoring in Forestry. He has spent the past 4 years birding at WSU and in the surrounding area, as well as researching Buteo ectoparasites and establishing a Nocturnal Flight Call station at the university. In Spring of 2022, Mason spent his semester studying abroad in Southern Chilean Patagonia. There, he was able to encounter a wide variety of familiar and foreign species alike while traveling through many beautiful austral ecosystems, which he will be telling you all about.
